School Trips Plus supports new Learning Outside The Classroom Manifesto and Quality Badge ( LOTC Quality Badge )

For over 3 years, School Trips Plus has been working with the National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT) and National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations (NCPTA) to help raise the health & safety standards and quality of learning outside the classroom provision.

This work has continued with several of the Learning Outside the Classroom ( LOtC ) Council members to support the LOtC Quality Badge initiative.

Over the coming months School Trips Plus will be offering solutions to providers applying for the LOtC Quality Badge and helping local authorities to promote the new scheme to all school trip venues.

From October 2008 onwards, all providers will be able to utilise www.schooltrips.co.uk to upload their Health & Safety documents and Education Program free of charge. This will allow schools to view the health and safety implications before their visit and make the necessary provision within their risk assessment.
